LCFA Visiting Artist Lecture Grant

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Ongoing, minimum of 3 months in advance.

PURPOSE: Enhance local arts education by sponsoring a lecture and/or demo by a professional artist. These lectures must be presented free and open to the public to qualify. This grant does not support workshops or classes.

APPLICATION AND REVIEW PROCESS

  • Grant assists with reasonable travel, lodging, lecture fees, and optional lecture space rentals for the visiting artist.
  • Requests will be reviewed regularly by the LCFA Board of Directors for disposition.
  • Grants are not guaranteed and are as funds are available.
  • Requesting organization must be located in Lee County, NC with a permanent business address in the county.
  • Requesting organization is primarily responsible for marketing and promoting their event. LCFA will provide supporting promotion and publicity through newsletters, social media, and press.
  • If requesting organization does not have an available lecture location, LCFA may provide additional funding to rent an appropriate location as part of this grant.
  • All decisions by the LCFA Board of Directors are final.

ACCEPTANCE PROCESS:

  • Recipient shall acknowledge and sign the Grant Contract within six months of approved request.
  • Recipient shall display LCFA promotional brochures or postcards at the event with acknowledgement of LCFA grant. Recipients may also acknowledge grant via social media or website with LCFA offering reciprocal promotion of support to assist in marketing the event.
